SDC National Twenty20 Community Cricket round-up - Clark's Town crush Jacks River

Buff Bay of Portland defeated Old Folly of St Ann by nine runs in a close encounter in the Social Development Commission (SDC) National Twenty20 Community Cricket competition at Clark's Town Community Centre in Trelawny on Sunday.

The winners batted first and amassed 189 for eight off their 20 overs. Lorrence Tyrell hit a top score of 91, while Tarique Angus contributed 33. Former national youth representative Shane Powell picked up six for 12 off four overs for the losers.

Old Folly responded with 180 for five as Christopher Hamilton made 56 not out. He was supported by Gary Williams (38) and Gareth Brown (30 not out). Omar Clarke got three for 24 for Buff Bay.

In the second game of a double header, home side Clarks Town crushed Jacks River of St Mary by seven wickets. The visitors batted first and made 147 all out off 15.4 overs with Hanchard Hamilton getting 70. Kemar Allen grabbed three for 31 off his four overs for Clarks Town.

Clarks Town cruised to 148 for three off 18.4 overs. Allen completed a good all-round performance as he made 100 not out.

At Dela Vega Community Centre in St Catherine, Richmond Park beat St John's East of St Catherine by 26 runs. Final scores: Richmond Park of Kingston and St Andrew 178 for eight off 20 overs; St John's East 152 all out off 17.3 overs.

In match two, Bridgeport of Portmore defeated Strike Force of St Thomas by 72 runs. Final scores: Bridgeport 225 for four off 20 overs; Strike Force 153 all out off 18.2 overs.

At Orange Community Centre, Petersfield of Westmoreland beat wild card entry Orange by five wickets. Final scores: Orange 102 for nine off 20 overs; Petersfield 106 for five off 12.1 overs.

In match two, Farm Heights of St James defeated Lucea of Hanover by four wickets. Final scores were: Lucea 107 for eight off 20 overs; Farm Heights 108 for six off 8.4 overs.

At Manley Horne Park in St Elizabeth, Race Course of Clarendon defeated wild-card entry Treasure Beach of St Elizabeth by four wickets, Final scores: Treasure Beach 106 for nine off 15 overs; Race Course 110 for six off 12.3 overs.

In match two, Junction/Bull Savannah of St Elizabeth beat Alligator Pond by 31 runs. Final scores were: Junction/Bull Savannah 162 for nine off 20 overs; Alligator Pond 131 all out off 19.2 overs.
