|
A mother who used a piece of board to reprimand her child causing injuries, will be sentenced in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on September 10. Charged with cruelty to a child is Tracy-Ann Anderson. She entered a guilty plea and offered the court an explanation for her actions. When the matter was called up Friday, the court heard that on the day in question, Anderson used a board to beat her daughter because she refused to wash the dishes and was backchatting her. The court was told that the child suffered injuries all over her body. When Senior Magistrate Judith Pusey asked for the medical certificate, she was advised by the court clerk that it was outstanding. RM Pusey asked the probation officer to intervene in the matter. Anderson was then given the return date. |
