Police increase patrol in May Pen

Horace Fisher, STAR Writer

The Clarendon police have increased patrol of some communities in the capital, May Pen, where tension has been building following last week Sunday's attempted robbery, which left a well-known hotelier injured and his household helper dead.

The household helper was identified as Erica Foster of Canaan Heights in May Pen.

The cops say there have been reprisal attacks in the past week and they expect other similar incidents.

A house off Longbridge Avenue in the town was firebombed twice in the past week, actions which are believed to be in retaliation of last Sunday's murder.

The police say they have increased their presence in the affected communities to prevent any further attacks.
