Lawmen hunt car thief |

Rasbert Turner, STAR Writer The police are searching for a car thief who stole a vehicle that he was given to test drive a week ago. Reports are that about noon last Tuesday, the man responded to an advertisement about a vehicle which was being sold in St Catherine. "He drove to the place in a 2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara. He parked it and asked to test drive the 2001 Honda Partner that was for sale," an investigator told THE STAR. The man then drove away in the woman's vehicle and has not been seen or heard from since. A report was made to the police and attempts to locate the car thief have proven futile. The police say investigations have so far revealed that the Grand Vitara left behind was reportedly stolen in Mandeville, Manchester. The police are continuing the search for the suspect. It was revealed that the man, is of Indian decent, THE STAR learnt that investigators are close to a breakthrough, but are warning people to be careful when doing such business. |
