Broadcaster and his co-accused to know their fate Monday

Broadcaster Wayne Whyte and his co-accused Safari Farr, the men accused of the April 2012 gun attack against journalist Jodi-Ann Gray will have to wait until Monday to know their fate as sentencing has been postponed until then.

A sentence was expected to be handed down in the High Court Division of the Gun Court Friday morning. However, Justice Courtney Daye put-off the matter because character witnesses had been unavailable.

Last Wednesday, Whyte and Farr had pleaded guilty to wounding with intent, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.

Gray was attacked as she arrived at her home in Cedar Grove in Portmore, St Catherine, on April 4, last year. She was pregnant at the time.

Gray also commended the prosecution and the police for their investigation of the matter.
