Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Trans-National Crime and Narcotics Division, (TCND), yesterday seized 1,500 pounds (681.8 kilograms) of compressed ganja in Ebenezer District in Manchester. Reports are that the police from the Area 3 TCND went to a property in the district sometime around 9:30 a.m. where a two-storey dwelling was searched and the compressed ganja was found in plastic drums and knitted bags disguised as yam. In addition to the compressed drug, an additional quarter acre of fully-grown ganja was discovered and destroyed. No one was arrested in connection with the discovery. |
