Cops investigate claim that ... PRINCIPAL TRIES TO RAPE TEACHER

The principal of a high school in western Jamaica is to make an appearance in court this week, after he was arrested and charged with the attempted rape of a teacher.

It is reported that the principal was taken into custody last Friday, after the teacher made a report to the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).

THE STAR understands that the incident took place in 2010, however, the teacher had a change of mind and decided not to pursue with the matter then.

The matter has now resurfaced as it is reported that the teacher feels she is being victimised.

Allegations are that in July 2010, the principal offered the teacher a ride in his motor vehicle, and while travelling in the car, he told her that he had to stop by a family member.

It is alleged that the principal, instead, took the teacher to a house and attempted to have sex with her.

The matter has been reportedly brought to the attention of the school board and it is alleged that the principal has admitted to the act.
