Madden aiming to reinvigorate Cross Roads

Popular promoter and businessman Emelio 'Damion' Madden has set out to enhance the entertainment activities in Cross Roads, St Andrew with the expansion of his restaurant, Chicken & Tings.

Though being a restaurant, his five-year-old establishment has provided great entertainment in Half-Way Tree, where it was first established.

For some time now, consumers-turned-patrons have enjoyed the frolic at Madden's Month End Friday party, which has featured most, if not all, of the top dancehall artistes and selectors in dancehall, treating patrons regularly to a partying bliss.

Now Madden is aiming to reinvigorate the entertainment scenes in Cross Roads through the expansion of his ever-growing business.

"Food and entertainment goes hand in hand. It is hard for either of the two to do without one, that's given," exclaimed Madden. "Cross Roads is widely known for its entertainment value. People have always benefited from the Carib Theatre and several other facets of entertainment. Now, I am adding to that value bringing my Month End event here with other new and creative ideas which I plan to keep to my chest for now."

Every Friday, Chicken & Tings hosts an after-work-jam event, which is steadily picking up speed. There's a drink special for each patron while they are being entertained by the usual top selectors on hand.

"The event is going well. My Chicken & Tings team is extremely hard-working, and if it weren't for them, most this wouldn't be possible," he added.
