![]() Dwayne Bravo Robert Bailey, Star Writer West Indies captain Dwayne Bravo believes that his team's six-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in their opening match of the triangular one day series is a major confidence booster ahead of their big clash against India tomorrow. The West Indies were led to their victory courtesy of a classy century from opener Christopher Gayle. The powerful left-handed batsman struck nine fours and seven sixes on his way to 109. He also shared in a 115 run partnership, with fellow opener Johnson Charles, who made 29. "I think that we just need to start winning some more games like these, then our confidence will continue to keep rising," said Bravo. "We know that India is a very good team and so it is going to be a very good game," Bravo added. "Both teams are very strong with batting and bowling and so it is going to be a cracker on Sunday. I am hoping that the guys will come out and give a hundred percent so that we can string together another win." Bravo also had high praises for Gayle for his winning knock against the Sri Lankans. "Chris is our best player and we are happy to see him getting some runs," Bravo said. "We know that once he gets a start on a wicket like this, then he is going cash in, and I thought that he did that very excellently for us," he said. The West Indies, who won the toss and decided to field first, restricted the visitors for 208 in 48.3 overs. Sunil Narine was the leading wicket-taker for the West Indies with four for 40. He received support from Ravi Rampaul, who took three for 38, and Bravo, two for 37. In reply, the West Indies reached their target in 37.5 overs. "I think that our bowlers did well because they bowled the ball in the right areas and stuck to the game plan," Bravo said.
