Jamaica Broilers rule the roost |

Jamaica Broilers Group clipped former champion, Peak Bottling Company 3-2 to move to the top of division one in the Business House Five-a-side football competition last Thursday at the National Water Commission (NWC) playfield, Mona. Jason Grant, Marvin Mill and Leighton Matthews scored for Jamaica Broilers, while Dujon Murphy and Maurice Ricketts were on target for Peak Bottling. In other matches, defending champions Spanish Grain Store 'A ' rebounded from a surprising 3-1 defeat to promoted Cari-Med Limited last week with a 2-0 victory over Maritime & Transport. Jamael Thompson and Akeem Brown scored for Spanish Grain Store 'A'. Scotiabank Group 'A' defeated MegaMart 2-0 to record their first victory of the season from three matches. Last year's division two champions, Food For The Poor, continued their good run in the competition, when they drew 0-0 with UDC. They also drew 0-0 with Spanish Grain Store 'A' and defeated Scotiabank Group 'A" 3-0. They are second in the standings with eight points from four matches. Rubis/Gas Pro recorded their first victory of the season when they clipped Cari-Med 3-2, with Kevin Patrick, Kamoy Beckford and Clinton Brown, the scorers. Carlos Martin and Jamal Mahon got the consolation goals for Cari-Med. Zone One of division two is being led by Spanish Grain Store 'B' and Administrator General's Department both with six points, Kingston Bookshop and University of Technology are leaders of Zone Two with nine points each, Sunlight Windows and Doors are sole leaders of Zone Three with nine points with their nearest rivals being Portmore Municipality with six points, while Alcor Window & Doors lead zone four with nine points. The competition is played on Mondays to Thursdays at the NWC Playfield , Mona with eight matches each day, starting at 8:30 p.m.
