Konshens spearheads book drive

Internationally acclaimed dancehall artiste Konshens, continues to raise the bar of his education initiative.

Konshens, a staunch advocate for education and higher learning, has teamed up with a programme called, CIP (Career Imagination Program) and is spearheading a book drive, to help support and provide students at Kololo Senior Secondary School with the tools they need, to further their education.

CIP helps to bridge the gap between education and the employment structure in Africa. This organisation provides mentoring programs and teaches young people new skills such as making jewellery, furniture, photography and much more.

As a result of completing this programme, students have a better chance at earning a living after graduating.

"Its always good to help out kids in any way possible, and books are very important in life, not just in school. Knowledge is power and the ability to read is very important. I make a living off words so I know what I'm talking about" says Konshens.

As Konshens continues to grow as an artiste and a humanitarian, so does his fan base worldwide. It is quite clear that Konshens intends to leave an indelible mark on the face and direction of what it means to be a true artiste, by taking initiative to give back to society, in the best ways possible.

The book drive starts NOW and will end on July 20, 2013.
