Suffering with pain |

Dear Pastor, Twelve years ago I got an infection in my right leg and my mother took me to hospital where they operated on me. It ended up that they did something wrong and my leg was disfigured. One is shorter than the other. My mother couldn't sue them at that time. The hospital told her that I would walk better soon and it would improve. That's a lie. My leg has gotten beyond worst. I am trying to do another surgery on it but I am too young to do a THR (total hip replacement) surgery and day by day my foot gets worst. I am feeling pain constantly. Painkillers don't work and I can't even go out with my friends because walking, not to mention running, is like throwing gas on a small fire. calling to get help I am 18, so I am an adult. I tried calling to get help from a law firm but they didn't help me out as much because they didn't allow me to explain. I understand the statute of limitation prevent me from suing. I don't know what to do. I was too young back then so I couldn't do anything. My leg is affecting me, and I haven't gotten anything out of this but pain. I still believe that there is more to get out of this medical malpractice/negligence that I can't sue them for, but they made a false statement that I will be walking better. I don't know what to do now. S.H. Dear S.H., I am very sorry to hear about your sufferings. I can't comment on the circumstances, but I can suggest that you contact the Legal Aid Clinic for advice. They are good people and if anything can be done legally to help you, they would advise you. Their numbers are listed. I wish you well. Pastor |
