Six months suspended for two years was the sentence given to taxi driver Richard Nembhard, in the Corporate Area Resident Magis-trate's Court on Thursday. Nembhard, who was charged with simple larceny, is accused of stealing more than $20,000 worth of motor vehicle parts from the female complainant's motor vehicle. It is alleged that Nembhard, who was employed as a driver by the complainant, stole $25,000 worth of parts from the vehicle he was operating. The money was refunded to the complainant in court. Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey told the accused that he will not be fined, but if he should get into any trouble with the law within the next two years, he will serve the suspended sentence. |
