Cumberland staved off a tough challenge from defending champions Portmore United at the Cumberland High School field last Sunday and won 1-0 and advanced to today's final in the Leander Marshall Portmore U-13 Football League.

The all-important goal was scored by Horace Ramsey from the penalty spot. Cumberland have been the most consistent team in the competition and have not lost a game on the playfield.

The only points dropped were in the boardroom as their scheduled match against East Portmore Portals was not played because of player issues with Portals given full points.

Cumberland's opponent in the final will be Portals, a team that defeated Edgewater 1-0 in semi-final action. The final is scheduled for the Cumberland field. Match time is 3 p.m.
