Front-runners Hanover and Westmoreland are today expected to face stern tests against Trelawny and St James, respectively, as they seek to win West Zone and advance to the semi-finals of the the Jamaica Cricket Association All-Island Limited Overs tournament.

Westmoreland, on 12 points, lead the zone ahead of Hanover, nine, with two rounds of matches to go.

St James, three points, and Trelawny, zero, round off the standings.

"The players plan to give a wholehearted approach that they want to beat Trelawny and give themselves a good chance of qualifying," said Hanover manager, Carlton Simpson.

"We have two good national representatives in Jermaine Blackwood and Kennar Lewis and should they lead from the front, I know we can achieve our target," he added.

In other matches, South Central Zone leaders Manchester will seek to move one step closer to the semi-finals when they host St Catherine CA at Manchester High.

Manchester, after four rounds of matches, currently are ahead on nine points, three more than St Catherine CA, who have played one game less.

The zone is completed by St Elizabeth with four points from four matches, and Clarendon one point from three.

St Elizabeth and Clarendon will square-off at Port Esquivel in the zones other matchup.

"I am are really looking forward to the game, as a victory would virtually assure us of a spot in the semi-finals, which is what we want," said Manchester coach Barry Barnes.

Left-arm seamer Krishmar Santokie and national off-spinner Jamie Merchant, who has a century to his credit, are again expected to lead Manchester's charge.

They are also expected to get good support from opener Zeniffe Fowler, Donovan Sinclair and captain Gary Graham.

St Catherine CA, in the meanwhile, are set to be led by young national batsman Nkrumah Bonner.

In other matches, G.C. Foster College will host St Ann and St Mary travel to Portland in East Zone, while in Corporate Area Zone A, Kensington will be at home to Kingston and St Andrew, Lucas will entertain Boys' Town, and Melbourrne play away to the JDF.

Corporate Area Zone B, in the meantime, will see St Thomas welcoming St Catherine CC, and Kingston at home to Police.

All matches begin at 9:30 a.m.
