Ja prepare for CFU Under-20 tourney

Jamaica will continue preparation for the upcoming Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-20 women's tournament with a training camp this weekend.

A 24-member squad was called up by the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) for training today and tomorrow at the national centre located at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.

"We are still looking at some players. Since February, every weekend we look at players with a mix of Under-17 and Under-20 players being called up," Vinimore Vin Blaine told Star Sports.

Blaine also said that come next month, ahead of the CFU tournament, seven overseas-based players will be invited to training camp for final selection.

"We will be having a two-week camp in early July, with about seven overseas-based players invited."

Jamaica will compete in Group four of the CFU tournament set for July 21-28.

The training squad reads: Shanice Plummer, Nasheka Doyley, Shanese Bowen, Shantel Thompson, Shanay Ricketts,Kadisha Cardoza, Jessica Johnson, Peta-Gay Planter, Tramaine Brown, Georgia Bailey, Khadija Shaw, Trudi Carter, Deneisha Blackwood, Sahsine Smith, Jamilia Henry, Shantel Bailey, Chris-Ann Chambers, Ashley Hopson, Asheina Nelson, Amoya Johnson, Kadine Dunn, Konya Plummer and Shamillia Carey.
