Veteran IRIE FM radio personality George 'GT' Taylor is all about entertainment. Anyone who knows him well can tell you that he is always thinking about his next big entertainment project.

GT Taylor made his name as a top radio personality in the 1990s on IRIE FM. Over the years, he has been involved with several entertainment ventures including the Occasions Nightclub, Club Classique Nightclub and the award-winning Christmas Extravaganza stage show which is held annually in Black River, St Elizabeth.

Through his GT Muzic Production Company, GT Taylor has produced a plethora of hits featuring some of the top names in reggae and dancehall during the last seven years.

He recently released a best-of compilation album featuring several of those hits. The compilation which is aptly titled GT Taylor Presents The Best of GT Muzic Volume 1, features songs from Shaggy, Capleton, Mavado, Vybz Kartel, Elephant Man, I-Octane, Sizzla, Khago, Admiral, Tibeth, Live Wyya, Chuck Fenda, Natural Blacks, Charly Black, Mikeylous, Perfect and Villa Dutch and Feekez.

GT said he felt the time has come for him to make a greater contribution to the music production side of the Jamaican music industry, hence his decision to release the best-of compilation.

"I am totally dedicated to the continued development of the local music business. I'm always looking at new ideas and ventures through which I can make a positive contribution to the industry. Over the years, as radio DJ I've helped to expose a lot of talent. My annual event, which is one of the biggest shows during the Christmas holiday season, is a continuation of this process. So, too, is my GT Muzic label."

He continued, "Over the last seven years, I've produced a whole lot of good songs with some of the finest talents around. Many of these songs have been released on rhythm compilations or as singles, so I decided to pick some of the best songs from my catalogue and start the Best of GT Muzic series; and I sincerely hope that dancehall and reggae music fans all over the world will love and support this series."
