US dollar reaches 100 mark |

|
The Jamaican dollar made history yesterday afternoon when it closed trading just over the $100:US$1 mark. The dollar leapt to its highest rate of $100.08 after losing 15 cents in value to the US during trading. Meanwhile the average selling rate was $99.26 It also lost 81 cents on the Canadian dollar, 56 cents against the British Pound Sterling and $1.36 against the Euro. Gains and losses are based on the average selling rates.
