With one hand on the trophy, defending champions Jamalco will be seeking to claim their third-straight hold on the Jamaica Netball Association (JNA)/Berger Paints Super League trophy when they take on Tivoli Gardens in game two of the best-of-three finals at the Leila Robinson Courts today, starting 5:30 p.m.

The Clarendon-based Jamalco, who are seeking their 10th overall title, lead the series 1-0, following their easy 55-45 victory over Tivoli in game one on Thursday evening.

Winston Nevers, coach of Jamalco, is confident that his team can close out the finals series later.

"We are looking to close it out on Saturday (today), but you know that Tivoli will be very hard to move out the way," said Nevers.

"We are planning to run at them again and even if we come out with a one or two-point victory, then we will be happy," he said.

Sylvester Campbell, coach of Tivoli, who were suffering their second defeat of the season, feels his team can rebound.

"We will have to fix some things in the middle to get that ball through the mid-court much easier," said Campbell.

"We will have to find a way to get through the defenders of Jamalco and, therefore, we will have to be on the attack from the opening whistle," Campbell said.

Former national player Elaine Davis, who netted 47 goals from 53 attempts in the opening-game victory, will once again lead their hunt for goals.

Davis is expected to receive valuable support from fellow shooters Naudia Brown and Patricia McCalla.

Former national representatives Althea Byfield and Nicole Aiken-Pinnock will lead Jamalco's defensive unit, while Kerry-Ann Brown and Sasher-Gaye Henry will marshall mid-court.

Meanwhile, Tivoli, who last captured the title in 2010, will once again be depending on national player Sabrina Spence, who scored 38 goals from 46 attempts in game one, and Jodi-Ann Ffrench, who netted seven from 16.

They are expected to receive support from former national defender Kasey Evering and Tamara Hylton.
