Vest recovered, motor vehicles seized |
|||||
The police are probing the circumstances surrounding the recovery of a Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) issued bulletproof vest, and the seizure of several motor vehicles in Hamilton Gardens, St Catherine, on Sunday morning. The vest was found in the possession of 23-year-old Rohan Campbell, who was fatally shot during a shoot-out with the police on Saturday. Reports are that Campbell, who was reporting on condition of bail for receiving stolen property, was among a group of men who were committing a series of robberies in a privately rented motor vehicle in Sligoville, St Catherine. As the St Catherine North police continue their investigations, five more privately rented motor vehicles were seized in connection with the incident. These vehicles are normally rented through individuals who are not registered to rent motor vehicles. The police continue their investigation. |
