Rasbert Turner, Star Writer
The family of a woman who was possessed by a demon removed her from a church she was taken to, claiming the pastor was taking too long to remove the ghost. The high drama occurred off the Old Harbour main road in St Catherine, between last Friday and Sunday afternoon. The Old Harbour police have admitted knowing of the incident. Information reaching THE STAR is that on Friday the demon-stricken woman was taken to a church in the community by family members, after, she was seen lying motionless, and her complexion changed to pale. She was also very very cold. It is understood that a spiritual battle was waged by the pastor and members of the church to heal the woman, who was also unable to speak. The incident reportedly drew a lively audience, but while the woman was not fully 'cured' of the demon, her complexion and normal temperature returned. It is further understood that the family, not contented with how long the pastor was taking to get out the demon, took the woman from the church complaining that they were working 'too slow'. The woman was reportedly removed on Sunday and taken to an obeah man elsewhere in the parish. Up to late yesterday, her condition was not known. Some residents of the area who witnessed the incident told THE STAR that there have been several instances of people being attacked by demons in the area recently. |
