The May Daze party series is officially here.

After a one-week delay because of heavy rain, the much-anticipated party series, held at 14 West King's House Road, didn't disappoint, as patrons streamed into the venue with high expectations.

Djs Creep and Nicco Chromatic took care of the early juggling, while the likes of DJs Flabba Dabba and Ash made females 'jump up', 'wine up' and do all sorts of gyrations on the dance floor. It was like an uptown party with a downtown vibe.

The females sent out clear warnings to the men that they meant business as they 'backed it up' in various positions. Needless to say, the men were ready to accept the challenge and the party vibes heightened.

One female who bubbled the night away uttered, "May Daze didn't have to be so nice".

May Daze started back in 2008 in a little parking lot on Holborn Road, New Kingston.

According to one of the promoters from Good Company, Dwayne Harris, the opening night was a huge success as they had over 1,000 patrons in attendance.

"This is now our biggest first-night turnout since starting in 2008. The vibes was also good and everyone had a good time, so we anticipate even bigger turnouts in the coming weeks," he said.

Adding, "May Daze is built around giving our patrons five nights of fun, frolic and fantasy each year, and this year will be no different, even though the first week was postponed because of bad weather. We are going to have another party in June to make up for the loss."

Good Company is the name of the promotional group for May Daze. Stephen Willie, the other promoter, and Harris, has been hosting parties since 2007, but they never formalised the name until 2009 when the brand started to build.

"The name epitomises the essence of our group, which is a bunch of good friends who are good people putting on real events for real people," Harris disclosed.
