A higgler who has been arrested on several ganja-related charges was remanded when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Howard Gordon, 24, has been charged with possession of, dealing in, taking steps to export, and conspiracy to export six pounds of ganja.

Gordon, from Red Hills, Kingston 20, is to return to court on May 22, when the matter will be mentioned, as the file is incomplete.

Allegations are that on April 11, about 9:20 a.m., the accused was about to board a flight at the Norman Manley International Airport destined to Curacao, when he was interviewed by the police.

It is alleged that during a search of a false compartment of the Gordon's luggage, a rectangular parcel containing vegetable matter resembling ganja was found.

Gordon was subsequently arrested.
