Being probed for incident with 15-y-o

Two members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force are now in custody on suspicion of having sex with a person below the age of 16.

The two constables, who are stationed in the St Catherine North Police Division, were held yesterday. The Star learnt that the policemen were held by their colleagues from the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).

It is being reported that both men had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl while they were on duty. The child related her ordeal to a relative.

A subsequent report was made to CISOCA and an investigation launched.

The Constabulary Communication Network have since confirmed the arrest of the men.

It was revealed that the policemen are being held pending further investigations. The CCN said the men will be subjected to an identification parade.
