A 20-year-old man who was arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred on Washington Boulevard, Kingston 20 on Friday, April 26, 2013, was charged on Tuesday morning.

The man, Damion Williamson from Waltham Park Road, St Andrew, has been charged with robbery with aggravation and illegal possession of firearm.

Reports from the Half-Way Tree CIB are that about 7:35 a.m., on the said date, a woman was accosted by Williamson and a robbery attempt made.

The police were alerted and Williamson was apprehended. His vehicle was also seized and searched by lawmen from the Caribbean Search Centre where a firearm, a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, and ten 9mm cartridges were seized.

Williamson is to answer to the charges in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Gun Court on Wednesday, May 22.
