Two men alleged to be involved in a robbery that took place at the Jamaica Livestock Association (JLA) in Kingston, were ordered remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

Charged with warehouse breaking and malicious destruction of property are 32-year-old Shane Thomas and Lenny Sinclair, 22. The men pleaded not guilty and a fingerprint order was made by Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey.

The allegation is that on Saturday, May 4, about 2:05 a.m., security personnel from Technology Plus responded to an alarm at the JLA location on Newport East Road.

It is further alleged that on arrival, the security guards saw four men, who had gained access to the warehouse by damaging a padlock, running off the compound. Two men were allegedly caught along Newport East Boulevard as they tried to make their escape into surrounding bushes.

Eight bales of 1000 empty feed bags, valued at $270,640, were recovered. Both men return to court on June 6 for trial.
