![]() Lestro - Contributed Firebrand reggae artiste Iestro is looking forward to a bright future in the music business. The Kingston native has a fresh and unique style that is sure to make him a hit among reggae fans at home and abroad. With a positive attitude, conscious lyrics and a rich and powerful voice, Iestro is emerging to the forefront as one of Jamaica's finest artistes. Iestro said it will only be a matter of time before he becomes a household name in reggae music. Steadily growing "Right now a lot of people are not familiar with the name Iestro, but that's going to change very soon. I'm working hard to make a name for myself in the business. My style is different and it's authentic. My fanbase is steadily growing because of the quality of my music and the positive messages in my songs," he said. Iestro was born Devon Andrew Howe on July 25, in Waterhouse. He started his musical journey at an early age and as a teenager, he performed at many talent shows across the Island. His first recording was a duet with Mr Classic, Gurt Up, in 1996, at King Jammys Studio, a song What you Gonna Do. That song was followed by numerous recordings for various labels such as Arrows, Tuff Gong, Mixing Lab, Cell Block, Witty Label and Black Shine Productions, where his first hit single, So Many A Times, was produced. Iestro recently signed a management, booking and recording contract with 5 Stars Recording Inc. Under the 5 Stars banner, he has developed into a multitalented artiste with his own unique style. The label's CEO, Clifton Lawrence, said he and his team are confident Iestro has the goods to be a major force in the reggae-music industry. "We fully believe in this artiste. He's a wonderful talent and we believe in due time, with hard work and dedication, he will be a major reggae act," said Lawrence. Using his music as a vehicle for his message, the world will come to realize that Iestro will not only entertain, but educate as well. Expect nothing but deep, precise, positive and thoughtful music from this creative artiste. Iestro has performed on numerous stages worldwide. His most memorable performances to date was at the Six Flags Caribbean Concert and New Jersey Reggae Fest in the United States, and locally at Rebel Salute. He was personally invited by the mayor of Mount Vernon, New York, to perform at their staging of Jamaica's 50th Independence Celebration. Iestro's performances have been described by many as nothing less than dynamic and explosive. He will continue to release music showcasing the level of talent that exudes through his creativity. The world can expect great things from this talented singer and songwriter.
