In an unprecedented move to diversify reggae's presence in the marketplace, Edge Michael cast an all-white crew in his new music video, If It Ain't One Thing It's Another, that will premiere on Friday in the US, for a group of A-list celebrities and diplomats.

Following a successful performance at the 13th staging of Westmoreland Curry Festival, the reggae musician released the music video for the popular single and added that the decision to have an all-white cast in the video is in line with his intent to make music that everyone can identify with.

"The music video is different from what persons would expect from a reggae artiste. The nature of my music speaks to persons of all backgrounds and I wanted to demonstrate that with the direction we took with this video. The song is also climbing on the charts so I'm feeling encouraged with the work that has gone into these records, and I just want persons to continue supporting the music," Edge Michael said.

With a strong presence in North Carolina, the musician revealed that it was only fitting to do something unorthodox and premiere the video in an area that is seeing rapid growth for his music.

"I did a tour in North Carolina earlier this year and the support was overwhelming. I was the first reggae artiste to ever perform in that section of the state (Eden) and they loved it, so I'm pleased with the growth of the music and how many persons it's now reaching. The mayor of North Carolina and some of the crew who worked on the Iron Man 3 movie are expected to be at the music video premiere," he said.

Edge Michael was scheduled to release his Guilty Til Proven Innocent album in March, however, the theft of some music equipment which included materials for the album resulted in a delay in its release. Despite this setback, he revealed that his Killsome City song did well on CVM's Hit List reggae charts among several other charts locally. The song, he added, is also doing well in the US, and Europe.
