![]() Bongo Herman - File The weekly live show series at Blue Essence lounge in King's Plaza will feature the master drummer, Bongo Herman and Friends in concert on Tuesday, May 14. The show is expected to be eclectic with friends such as Kette Eye, The Jays, Champagne, Georgia Henry and others with backing band, Jah Squad for a start time at 9 p.m. The consummate entertainer, Bongo Herman has been in the entertainment business for over 46 years and still going strong. He has been instrumental in many of the tracks and number one hits of many current Jamaican artistes like Gyptian, Richie Spice, Fanton Mojah, Stephen Marley, Capleton among many others. His journey in the business has taken him through most of the studio productions from Studio 1, Harry J, among others. His performances are as legendary as some of the people he has met such as former South African President, Nelson Mandela, Winnie Mandela, Emperor Haile Selassie, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye to name a few. Asked what the patrons can expect on Tuesday, Bongo Herman says, "They will leave the show, very happy people, all over the world, anywhere go. I always put out my best to entertain the crowds." Blue Essence lounge has been attracting large crowds at its Tuesday night live shows which has featured performers from all music genres, ranging from new artistes to established performers such as Fab Five Band, Freddie McGregor, Alaine, Althea Hewitt, AJ Brown, Sophia Squire to name a few. Admission is free.
