Prayer frees man of sex charges
Rasbert Turner, Star Writer

A man who received several minutes of prayer close to the St Catherine Circuit Court walked free of sex charges on Tuesday.

The Star observed the man being showered with prayers by a woman under a mango tree. "You are going to be set free and the spirit said God sey you free," the woman said.

About two hours after, the man was freed of the two counts of carnal abuse charges.

His lawyer Sean Kinghorn said he is not sure if it was divine intervention.

The man was charged with carnal abused three years ago after he allegedly held the complainant for nine days during which time he allegedly sexual assaulted her.

He was charged after the 14-year-old child was released and related her ordeal to her mother.

The accused had maintained his innocence throughout his court appearances.
