Jah Currant

Earth Storm recording artiste Jah Currant is making major strides within the local music industry.

The firebrand deejay recently delivered an impressive performance at the monthly MoBay Night Out event which was held at the Dump Up Beach on the Mobay Hip Strip.

Armed with thought- provoking and witty lyrics, coupled with his unique stage antics, he earned the respect of the audience that came out to see featured acts Jah Vinci and George Nooks.

Jah Currant delivered a dazzling performance which surprised everyone in the venue. Performing songs such as Daddy Now, Badness Nah Wear Again and To Be A Man, he had the huge audience in a frenzy.

The hard-working singjay is now preparing to shoot the video for his single Daddy Now, which continues to grow in popularity.

The hard-hitting single was recently featured on HITZ 92 FM by DJ Rodrick Howell during the Pump It or Dump It feature in his show and received the nod of approval from listeners from all over Jamaica, who called in and sent text messages requesting that the song be pumped.

"Daddy Now is getting stronger, the fans love it and the deejays are giving it a lot of support. The other day Rodrick Howell interviewed me and featured it in the Pump It Or Dump it. He got crazy phone calls, the fans just wanted him to play it over and over again. Right now we are getting ready to shoot the video for it, that's a top priority. We want to do it, so we can release it in time for Father's Day," said Jah Currant.

Also in the pipeline for the St Thomas native are several soon to be released singles.

"I'm also planning to drop some new singles for the summer, some of these songs were recorded already, and I'm also working on some new material, so it's just non-stop work right now. I can't sit still, I have to work hard to achieve the success that I want and because I plan to go all the way to the top of music biz," he closed.
