Lady Virgin beat 12 other contestants to be crowned Miss Shades Exotic Dancing Queen 2013 in a hotly contested event last Saturday night at the Shades Nightclub in Ocho Rios.

On her way to winning the crown, Lady Virgin captured sectional prizes in the categories Best Costume, Most Congenial, Most Popular, and shared the Best Casual Wear prize with Lady Kimberly, who finished a close second.

In finishing first runner-up, Lady Kimberly also won sectional prizes for Best Eveningwear, Best Sex Appeal, Best Modelling Skills and Best Exotic Dancer.

Lady Shakira who finished third, captured the prize for Best Legs, while the prize for Best Smile went to Dimples.

Cash prizes totalling over $100,000 were awarded to the contestants, along with several gift baskets and gift vouchers.

"We were pleasantly surprised with the overall outcome. Although we naturally expected it to be good, it exceeded our expectations," said promoter Lloyd Cameron. "We are very pleased with the public support and with the outcome of the event."

Entertainment for the night included performances by Extreme Pushers, Unique Dancers, Citizens Skankers, Polka Dot, Classic Kid, Lexicon, Bruk Eh Joe and Jamaican James Brown.
