There was high drama at Red Bull Thre3 Style Showcase atop the roof of Ken's Wildflower Sports Bar and Lounge last Saturday night.

A vibrant play-off between DJ Karim and DJ Narity saw patrons throwing hands in the air when their favourite tunes were played.

DJ Narity had a mixed set with dancehall songs mainly from the '80s and '90s, before switching to more modern music. The crowd loved his style and pattern. This was in the first round.

DJ Karim started a bit slowly at first as he played hip hop tunes with a mixture of reggae in his first round of playing. DJ Karim had the girls going wild in his high-tempo dancehall set that sent the females on the dance floor, as popular styles such as the 'broad out' and 'Six-Thirty' were displayed for the crowd.

Stephen 'Supa Hype' Davis, a DJ/producer/TV host, was the man in the middle and juggled in-between play-offs.

Near the end of the event, the host DJ for Wildflower Sound closed what was an eventful and vibrant event.

Red Bull Thre3Style is an international Dj competition in which some of the best Djs in the island vie to participate in the world finals.

According to Chris Pryce, of Red bull, this is not the real sound clash. "It's not a traditional clash, it's about who can rock the crowd the best. The showcase that was held at Ken's on Saturday was a showcase to build awareness around the next competition set for June 15 and to also bring an aspect of Red bull International to the people of Portmore," he said.

The event was fully endorsed by Lester 'Father Ken' Crooks, the proprietor of Ken's Wildfower, who was present to share in the proceedings.
