Star Tell Me Pastor

I want to be straight

Dear Pastor,

From the age of 10, I have been attracted to a guy. Now I am 18 and do not want to have such attractions anymore. I really love guys before and ove fantasising about how men can comfort me, etc..

Now I really love this girl so much and she makes me feel like a straight person. I have tried imagining myself having sex with a girl. That worked a little but I want to be straight. I don't want to be 'bi' or 'gay'. I have had sex with a guy before and have been playing 'bottom' (female). I had my first gay sex at age 15 before my abuse. That was two years ago when I was in eighth grade.

One more thing, I behave like a girl. My friends blame me for this. I realise it is not good to be like that. Please help me.

A.S.

Dear A.S.,

You said you do not wish to be bisexual or gay. It is your desire to be straight, or heterosexual. I suggest, therefore, that you meet with a psychologist and bring the matter before him/her. He/she would work with you and try to help you. Psychologists are professional people. If you are willing to listen and to work with them, life would become meaningful to you. In the meantime, I assure you of my prayers.

Pastor
