Rasbert Turner, Star Writer
The arrest of a St Catherine-based policeman has not gone down well with residents of Naggo Head in Port-more, St Catherine. This resulted in a protest in the area yesterday afternoon, where the residents turned out in their numbers in the community to show their support for the policeman who lives in the area. The policeman was taken into police custody on suspicion of murder and illegal possession of firearm. He is being held in connection with the death of a man in Naggo Head on Monday. Reports are that the cop was held on Tuesday by his colleagues. It was the consensus of the protesters that the policeman did not kill anyone. Meanwhile, Operation Officer of the St Catherine South Division, Clive Blair, said that further investigation is being conducted into the matter.
