Manhunt for attackers of PM's brother |

The Kingston Central police have launched an intense manhunt for three men who are reportedly involved in yesterday's attack on the brother of Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, THE WEEKEND STAR has learnt. According to information reaching our news team, 70-year-old Vinston Simpson, was beaten and robbed at his business place, Simpson's Dollar Saver, located in downtown Kingston about 4:30 yesterday morning after, armed men reportedly broke in. THE WEEKEND STAR gathered that during an alleged struggle Simpson was hit in the head with an object. Our news team understand that the robbers made good their escape with approximately $40,000 and a television set among other items. According to the police, Simpson's license firearm was also stolen. Checks by THE WEEKEND STAR also revealed that Simpson underwent an emergency scan yesterday to view the extent of his head injury. - A.W. |
