Crystal Harrison, Staff Reporter An ongoing cocaine scam in Clarendon has been linked to a stabbing incident in the parish on Wednesday. It is reported that one man is in custody and another under police guard following a dispute in Lionel Town over a bad cocaine deal. The Clarendon police have confirmed to THE WEEKEND STAR that persons have been selling flour for cocaine in the parish. The police say that on an annual basis, they have been receiving reports about persons getting involved in altercations over bad cocaine deals. Clarendon's commanding officer Senior Superintendent Michael Bailey told our news team yesterday that the cocaine scam is seemingly ongoing in the Lionel Town area. "Two persons are in custody following a wounding incident. We have received inform-ation that this matter is stemming from an incident last year where a man was sold cocaine for flour and the victim came back to attack the person," SSP Bailey said. "Every year we have incidents of some form of trickery and these incidents normally happen in the Lionel Town area." |
