KIA Motors' head honcho, Dwight Moore, hangs out with gospel artiste Omari.

With Supreme Promotions and Downsound Records on board, Golden Promotions' Marvin 'Horseman' Pitterson expects to put on an even bigger 10th staging of To Mom With Love.

At Tuesday's launch of the event at Kia Motors, Chelsea Avenue in New Kingston, Downsound Records' CEO Joe Bogdanovich said, "I would like to think of the association with this event as a tangible expression of Downsound's commitment to Jamaica's entertainment."

While stressing that his company's resources are not unlimited, he noted that he believes it is important to give back.

When the event is held on May 12 at the Lime Golf Academy in New Kingston with headliners such as The Manhattans, Gwen Dickey of Rose Royce, John Holt, Karen Smith, Nature, Tahj, Robert Minott and Silver Birds Steel Band, Pitterson says the partnership with Downsounds Records and Supreme Promotions will be a boost to the event.

"Better quality show and bigger event because Downsounds is a major promotion company. The biggest one we have so far was Air Supply (in 2010), let's see if we can measure up to or beat Air Supply. They (patrons) can expect good quality show, good quality food, of course security as usual," he told THE WEEKEND STAR.

Supreme Promotions' Isaiah Laing is also excited about collaborating on this effort.

"It is a worthy event and an event that I always want to be a part of because I care for moms. Over the years I don't think justice has been done to that show so I think with the involvement of me and Joe you will see a big difference this year 'cause we are putting out the extra effort to make sure moms feel comfortable," he said.

He said they will also be bringing more professionalism to the show as it relates to décor, stage and lighting.

Earlier in the evening there was prayer from gospel artiste Omari, while Nature and 10-year-old Tahj also did a song each. The principal of Windward Road Primary School, Norman Malcolm, also collected a $100,000 cheque for the institution. Mayor Angella Brown Burke collected a cheque valued at $200,000 on behalf of the Victoria Jubilee Hospital.
