Macka nominated for IRAWMA Award |

Macka Diamond Dancehall artiste Macka Diamond has been nominated in the category of Best Female Disc Jockey/Rapper in this year's International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA). "I feel blessed to be nominated for this award, and wish the best of luck to my fellow nominees," Macka Diamond said. The winners will be announced at the star-studded staging of tomorrow's 32nd annual IRAWMA, at the prestigious Coral Springs Center for the Arts, 2855 Coral Springs Drive, Coral Springs/Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Macka Diamond won the IRAWMA for Best Female International Rapper/DJ in 2011. The Bun Him deejay has been on a roll in recent months as her sexually charged dancehall hit, Dye Dye, has been doing well. The song is already in heavy rotation on local radio and is fast becoming a hit in the Caribbean and North America. 'Dye Dye' video "I will be going all out with the release of my video next week. The summer is mine. Dye Dye to the world," she said. Macka Diamond's previous single, Forty And Fabulous, hit #3 on the HYPE TV Top 20 charts. She also has a barrage of new singles in rotation on FM radio and playing at street dances in Kingston. Those singles include Maths Class on the Blitz rhythm, Sort Me Out and the provocative Sugar Daddy. "Troy McLean, Garfield Hamilton and Rodrick Howell ah shell weh the Maths Class hard pon the radio, but the Sort Me Out ah connect inna the streets, ah it mash up Boasy Tuesdays and Shell Weh Tuesdays this week. Just wait till the Sugar Daddy mix," an ecstatic Macka Diamond said. In May, she will head to the United States to resume the book tour for her Naughty or Nice (Bun Him Part 2). She has already confirmed upcoming performances in West Palm Beach, Orlando, St Lucia and California this Summer. "The ting look good. Dye Dye hot again.
