LIME, in partnership with the Kingston Live Entertainment Group (KLE), recently crowned the official resident DJ for the Famous Night Club, scheduled to open on May 8.

The 'Famous' DJ Search began on Saturday, April 13, at the LIME store, Greater Portmore Shopping Centre, where the search began to find the best man or woman on the wheels of steel from the Portmore community.

After numerous sets of well-put together selections and dynamic mixing skills, the judges narrowed down the search to eight selectors who battled in the finals held on Saturday, April 27.

The panel of judges for the competition included Matthew Grey from CopperShot, DJ Nicco, Amelia 'Milk' Sewell. After rocking selections from DJ Naz, DJ Mario, DJ Dane, DJ Solar Dre, DJ Lava, DJ Nutzie, DJ 50,and DJ Burnz, Solar Dre was selected for the 'Famous' title.

"We are blown away by the talent of the Portmore community and the number of skilled DJs who auditioned to become the resident DJ of Famous Night Club. I would like to congratulate the DJs who made it to Saturday's 'spin- off' and, on behalf of LIME, I would like to extend a big congratulation to Solar Dre who emerged the final winner," said Carlo Redwood, vice-president, marketing, LIME Jamaica.

The telecommunications company, in embracing its slogan, 'Value Every Moment', sees the partnership with Kingston Live Entertainment Group as a ground-breaking relationship set to change the nightlife experience.

"The KLE Group, who are also responsible for the Fiction Night Club, has cemented its name in Kingston nightlife. Deciding to spread their wings into the Portmore community is a great move and we support it.
