Singjay, songwriter and producer Serani yesterday dropped his latest mixtape that features rising prospect Deep Jahi, last year's winner of the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition.

Deep Jahi's debut album is set to be released later this year depending on how well the mixtape does on the street. Since the singer won the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition, he has had a string of hits including Life Goes On, the title of the mixtape, and Another Try.

This latest work not only features tunes from Serani and Deep Jahi but also tracks featuring Anthony B, Chrisinti, Dexter Daps, Tarrus Riley, Fantan Mojah and Kibwe among others. "The songs are on the more conscious side," Serani said of the newly released disc. "It's mainly one-drop reggae tracks and it's a whole lot of good music."

The official release was just awaiting artwork, Serani said when he spoke with THE WEEKEND STAR yesterday, but said he has already distributed a number of discs to the public. In addition to Serani's production work on the mixtape, a couple of the tracks were also produced by Tiyaro, who Serani describes as a musical genius. "He is an engineer, but he is a young producer, a 19-year-old genius, who is also a songwriter and a musician. He's a very important member of the Rock Stone team."

Last summer, Serani split from the Daseca label to start a new label, Rock Stone Media with business partner Julian Jones-Griffiths. Both he and Deep Jahi are signed to the label. Shortly thereafter, the label released Deep Jahi's single, Punching Bag.

This latest work can be downloaded from Serani's Twitter page @Seranimusic.

In addition to this latest work, Serani and his young stablemate have released a new video of a medley of songs - Paper, Serani's song that was released last year and has been getting good play locally since early 2013, and Money, a song featuring the vocal talents of Deep Jahi and Serani. The video has been in circulation for about a week now.
