Calabar students face school punishment |
|||||
Officials at Calabar High School are in the process of collecting data regarding Monday's stabbing incident along a Jamaica Urban Transit Company bus, so that action can be taken against the involved students. The school principal Albert Corcho said officials will view footage of the incident today. "We are still collecting statements from the police, so I can't say. Tomorrow (today), we will be going to the police station so all parties involved can view the footage, and from there disciplinary action will be taken," he said. On Monday, a JUTC driver was allegedly attacked and robbed by a group of Calabar students on Constant Spring Road, after he refused to refund their fares when they pulled the bus' emergency lever and became disruptive. Police yesterday said they charged three boys in connection with the incident. They have been charged with malicious destruction of property, robbery with aggravation and wounding with intent. On the day of the incident, one of the boys was taken into custody, and charged with carrying an offensive weapon. |
