Today, we continue with our buzzworthy feature, Paternity Puzzle. Last month, one lucky person got a free DNA test.

The feature will continue to attempt to help families solve paternity disputes. One more lucky person will get a free test and reveal the truth once and for all.

This and every Wednesday for the month, we will publish the story of a mother and an alleged father, who will both give their sides in tales of allegations and denials.

Be sure to follow the series as THE STAR awards a free DNA test sponsored by Caribbean Genetics to the most interesting story for the month.

A store operator who feels that her ex-lover is unable to impregnate a woman is closer to finding out the truth, as she along with her former man have been awarded a free DNA test.

The story that was published on March 27, has been chosen as the April winner.

The woman, Grace Mitchellfrom Clarendon, contended last month that her former lover, Bob Junior, is fighting a losing battle to believe that her seven-year-old daughter belongs to him.

"I got pregnant when I was in high school and he (Junior) was di guy on di side. Him can't breed nobody, is just because people a trouble him seh him a fire blank why him a seh di child belongs to him," Mitchell told THE STAR last month.

Mitchell said that close to a decade ago she had a one-time sexual encounter with Junior, a mechanic, but he didn't impregnate her.

The child is not in Junior's name, however, he has a strong feeling he is the biological paternal parent.

Mitchell, 16 years old at the time, though she was involved with another man, told THE STAR that didn't prevent her from having unprotected sex with Junior.

Mitchell said: I was in high school at the time and we met one day after school in Half-Way Tree. I was in school and he was older than me and driving at the time. Let me tell you, I was a bad girl and mi can admit dat because I did have my original boyfriend at the time.

Junior said: We never did in a relationship, but based on my calculation, I believe that she is telling lies about who di child belongs to. She was di one who told me that the child is mine.

Mitchell said: Him pick mi up one day after school and we went by his father's house and we had sex only one time. I had to hide in di closest at his father's house, so that nobody would find out that I was there and that was it.

Junior said: As I said, she was the one who told me that the child is mine, and I have a strong feeling that di child is mine because she (the child), has my face and my dimples.

Junior also said that Mitchell is crazy and she hates the idea of a DNA test, however, after announcing to Mitchell that she has been awarded a free DNA test, she said that she will not be hiding from the examination.

If the result doesn't come back in his favour, Junior said he will move on with his life, but he has a strong feeling that he will come out as the victor.

Mitchell, on the other hand, said that she is hoping for a negative result.

"I don't want nothing to do with this man or his family, but I want to close this chapter of my life, so I will do this test and get it over with. This man is a liar, you can't believe his words because he said that he has supported my child and that is not true. The only thing this man ever give my daughter is two Swizzle fruit drinks and two Cheese Trix," Mitchell said.
