Who is Katrina? It's a common question on the lips of many as this 'new' artiste has been gripping the attention of listeners locally.

According to the artiste, "People have been asking who is this Katrina, because da new girl ya sound good."

And in seeking to answer the question so commonly asked by many who have heard her new single, Why Worry, she says, "Katrina is a new artiste on the scene, a singjay and a deejay who has many moods. So you will hear an inspiring song one minute and a next time she will be doing a fun song."

Well, at the moment, Katrina seems to be in an inspiring mood, as her single, Why Worry, has been rampant on the musical scene.

According to Katrina, "The song is an inspirational one that came about from me riding my bicycle one morning, and seeing the different expressions on the faces of people, because you know when you drive, you tend to miss a lot of stuff. But I was able to see all the struggles and even when you think about having to deal with people who are critical of you on a daily basis, you really need inspiration. So basically, I decided to do this song to inspire people to get through their day-to-day struggles and activities."

The single was produced by So Unique Records and is featured on the Happy Thoughts rhythm. Other artistes featured on the rhythm are Beenie Man and D'Angel.

According to Katrina, "It was a really nice vibe recording the single one night by Gargamel Studio. And, although the idea for the song and lyrical content took a couple weeks to culminate, "the actual recording took only about an hour."

And now that the single is complete and has been hitting local radio, Katrina is not worried about getting positive feedback from the listening public.

"So far, we have been getting good reactions because people are singing it and everybody can relate to the track," she said.
