69-y-o crushed by tree

Sixty-nine-year-old Linford Edwards of Kernels Ridge in Clarendon was crushed to death by a tree in his community on Monday.

Reports from the Chapelton police are that about 5:05 p.m., Edwards was visiting a family member when a mango tree fell on him. He died on the spot.

The police were summoned, the tree removed, and Edward's body was taken to the morgue.

Investigations into the matter continue.
