Internet sensation Clifton 'Cliftwang' Brown was again remanded when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday

Brown, who is facing charges of marital rape and assault ocassioning bodily harm, will reappear in court on April 26.

Because of the nature of the offence, civilians, including our reporter, had to vacate the courtroom while the matter was being heard before Resident Magistrate Lorna Shelly-Williams.

According to initial reports, Brown allegedly forced himself on his estranged wife twice, and, in the process, breached the protection order that was made against him.

Brown, who has been married for some five years, told the court on his prior appearance that he was surprised when his wife made the allegations against him, stating that prior to the incident they had shared the marital bed on multiple occasions.

"Both of us sleep in one bed, in one room, we had sex twice, so I don't know how she say I rape her!"

Brown appeared before the courts earlier this year, after he was sued for outstanding monies from several bounced cheques he allegedly tendered at a gas station late last year. A few weeks later, he was back in court after he was accused of being behind in child support payments.

Clifton 'Cliftwang' Brown rose to fame after the release of the popular mash-up Nobody Canna CrossIt by DJ Powa, after Brown appeared in a newscast in 2011, where he beckoned authorities to rebuild the bridge in his community of Mavis Bank, St Andrew.
