Blaine calls Under-20 women's squad

The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has named a 24-member Under-20 women's squad that will begin training for the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) competition in July. The invitees will train today and tomorrow then break, as they are all in school.

Vinmore 'Vin' Blaine is head coach of the squad that will commence training at the JFF Centre located at the University of the West Indies in Mona.

"This will be the first training camp called and we will continue on weekends as the girls are all in school. The majority of the squad are from last year's team as well as girls coming from Under-17 level," Blaine told Star Sports yesterday.

The full training squad consists of: Nasheka D'Oyley (STETHS), Shanice Plummer (STETHS), Renee Freeman (University of Technology), Shanese Bowen (Lennon High), Kedisha Cardoza (Old Harbour High), Shantell Thompson (Lennon), Latoya Duhaney (McGrath High), Khadija Shaw (St Jago High), Georgia Bailey (St Jago High), Trudi Carter (Trench Town High), Deneisha Blackwood (Excelsior High), Imanie Richards (Excelsior), Nicole Broderick (Excelsior), Shanel Spence (Excelsior), Tiffany Robinson (Excelsior), Shaquillia Pitterson (Excelsior), Sashine Smith (Excelsior), Shantel Bailey (Charlie Smith High), Moesha Dennis (Charlie Smith), Chris-Ann Chambers (Wolmer's Girls), Jessica Johnson (Eltham High), Keverine Mason (Ardenne High), Sabrina Brooks (Ardenne) and Ashley Hopson (Camperdown High).

The Jamaica national Under-20 assistant coaches are Merron Gordon and Xavier Gilbert while the manager is Jean Nelson.
