Man charged with murder remanded

A man who has been charged in connection with the death of another man whose body was found in Kingston 10 recently, was remanded when he appeared in court on Thursday.

Charged with murder is 31-year-old Clifton Lutchman, a businessman from Kingston 11.

Dead is Brian Bradley, otherwise called 'Man a Forty'.

Lutchman is to return to court on May 9 for a preliminary enquiry into the matter.

He is being represented by attorney-at-law C.J. Mitchell.

Allegations are that on February 17 at about 10:30 p.m., Bradley's body was found wrapped in a white tarpaulin in the vicinity of Queen's Avenue, Kingston 10.

It is reported that the body had multiple stab wounds to the head and the face.

The court heard that an eye witness was at home when Bradley ran into her house seeking refuge.

It is reported that while talking to Bradley, the witness said that he ran under her bed in attempt to hide from three men who were chasing him.

It is reported that the three men also ran into the witness' home asking for Bradley, who was later found by the men hiding under a bed.

The court heard that the men who started stabbing Bradley then left with his body.

Another witness reported that he saw three men in a yard with Bradley's body, however, he ran for his life as one of the men pulled a gun from his pocket.

The second witness reported that upon a subsequent visit to the yard, he heard relatives of the deceased saying that Bradley's body had been found in Richmond Park.

The police told the court that the accused had been pointed out in an identification parade as one of the three men who was seen with Bradley's body.
