Woman tries to take own life after lover ends relationship

A bartender is battling for her life in hospital after reportedly drinking a cup of poison at her Manchester home on Wednesday.

THE STAR understands that the woman drank the substance sometime after 4 p.m., over a recent announcement that her lover wanted to end their relationship.

The Mandeville police are investigating the matter.

Information reaching our news team is that while giving her statement to the cops, the woman who is in serious condition, was vomiting blood.

It is alleged that the woman got jealous over several naked pictures that she found in her lover's phone and interrogated her man about it.

THE STAR understands that an argument developed between the couple over a week ago and the man announced that he wanted to end their relationship.

It is reported that things took a twist on Wednesday, when the woman phoned two of her friends and told them that she was going to end her life.

The woman was at home with her lover when she was found in a section of the home, on the verge of finishing a cup of the poisonous substance that she had mixed.

She was rushed to hospital and the matter was reported to the police.

THE STAR understands that this is not the first time that the woman has attempted to take her life.
