Support the Sunshine Girls

Mi seh di way di people dem mussi did think the Fluffy Diva could'nt play netball and underestimate mi dem get di shock a dem life when mi bus di flick pon dem and a run up and down wid di ball like mi way two pound wah day yah a de celebrity match at the National Indoor Sports Centre!

Some a wonda if mi really flick or is a camera trick but to how the people dem slow down the flick like is a karate show mi haffi all a laugh afta mi self! But when people pay dem good money fi come out and support me, mi always endeavour fi do mi best. Won't be able to please all and no matter what people ago find fault, but as long as mi know mi do mi best dem can kiss mi acrylic!

Inna di first half the game did a buss mi shut! Di way how mi feel like mi a have a outta body experience mi a wonda a why coach Nevers gimme di Center fi play. But mi did tell him mi woulda play anywhere him put mi as he is the boss. Even if him did want mi fi pick up cup and hand out juice!

Mi naa lie when people deh home and a watch a game pon tv is a total different ting when yuh out deh and a dweet.

full potential

Mi think the Sunshine Girls fi a get more support and backing both from public and private sector organisations to help to support dem so dem can reach dem full potential. Why is it dat everybody seem fi hitch up backa di male sports dem but the female one dem no get as much attention and big up? Mi notice that there is even more public support fi di sports dem weh man inna than the female sports dem.

Everybody an dem mumma deh a football an di who is who kotch up a cricket yet the netballers naa get the support weh dem fi get. How yuh fi have females a work so hard an train so hard an dem cyaa get a decent pay, di coach haffi leggo cause not even gas money him can get and we a seh we serious about sports and sports tourism?! The Sunshine Girls are ranked 4th behind some big bad team weh di woman dem ova grown, and should be commended for that. An I am sure if they got the help and support needed they could rise to the top of the pack or even be in top 3.

We can't expect the netballers to be able to play professionally in a professional sport and dem naa get professional money and professional treatment. Mi hear seh when dem an di England team a play wah day to how di English side treat fi dem players like goddesses dem mussi all have smaddy fi wipe between dem toe jus fi mek dem feel comfortable! The amount a staff dem walk wid coulda staff two team down here.

grossly neglected

The Sunshine Girls deserve more and we really need fi look into it. My little stint fi a one training and a one game mash mi up wicked mek all some muscle weh mi neva know mi have get inna spirit an hurt mi so mi know dem muss a feel it worst. When a person give dem all fi dem country I think it should be appreciated and recognised and I think for far too long they have been the underdogs in sports. It is especially embarrassing to know that the girls have so much potential and a gwaan wid dem ting yet they are being grossly neglected.

If one is a professional netball player a dat dem fi a do. Kobe Bryant is a basketball player him no have no 9-5 fi mek him tired and frass so him dedicated to him craft. It hard fi ask fi exclusive dedication when it naa mek sense to di girl dem pocket. Some can barely find bus fare sometime outta di quatty wah dem a get. We haffi do better and we need fi start roll out di red carpet fi dem.

If dem can be number 4 without the requisite help and support u can imagine how far dem coulda reach if dem have di right backative?! If when we roll out the support and dem naa deliver den we empty dem like a wata bokkle but mi tink dem deserve much more attention and respect than they are getting right now. As a fluffy netballer mi can tell unnu training and execution a judgement so even though dem ketch di ball an shoot and mek it look easy, a different ting when u deh pon di court.

Big up mi celebrity netballer divas dem cause we bring it to di masters without apology! Thanks to all those who came out to support the Sunshine Girls and let us pull together and give them all the moral and financial support they need to shine even brighter!
